How We Use Information
We use information to operate TinyTeller AI, including to:
- create and save your account, characters, stories, and library;
- generate story text, character references, illustrations, covers, previews, and printable files;
- process purchases, credits, coupons, checkout, and refunds;
- calculate shipping, submit print orders, send order confirmations, and provide customer support;
- protect the service, prevent fraud or abuse, debug errors, and enforce our Terms of Service;
- improve the product, templates, quality controls, and user experience; and
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, safety, and regulatory obligations.
Photos And Child Information
TinyTeller AI is designed for adults, especially parents and guardians creating books for children. We do not knowingly ask children to create accounts or submit information directly to us.
When you upload a child's photo or provide child-related details, you confirm that you have the authority and consent needed to provide that information. We use those details to personalize the book and to support your account and orders.
Original character reference photos are stored temporarily for character creation and regeneration. Our current automated cleanup removes those original source uploads after about three days. Generated avatars, story illustrations, story text, and printable files may stay in your account so you can view, edit, reorder, or print your books.
We do not sell child information, and we do not use uploaded photos, story answers, or generated books to train TinyTeller AI models.
AI And Service Providers
To create a book, we may send selected prompts, story answers, notes, reference images, generated character references, and related metadata to third-party AI generation providers for story planning, story text, character references, and illustrations.
We use these providers to generate your book, not to build advertising profiles or sell your content. Third-party AI providers process submitted content under their own service terms and data protection commitments.
When We Share Information
We share information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service, or when required by law. This may include sharing information with:
- authentication, account, database, and media storage providers;
- AI generation providers for story planning, story text, character references, and illustrations;
- Stripe for payments, checkout, fraud prevention, and receipts;
- print production, fulfillment, shipping quote, carrier, and delivery update providers;
- optional sign-in and checkout assistance providers, such as address suggestion services, when those features are used;
- email, hosting, logging, security, and operational providers that help us run TinyTeller AI;
- professional advisers, law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when needed for legal, safety, fraud, or rights-protection reasons; and
- a successor organization if TinyTeller AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers. We may store Stripe customer, checkout, and payment identifiers, payment status, totals, currency, and related order records so we can complete purchases, handle support, and maintain required business records.
Cookies And Local Storage
We use cookies and similar browser storage for account sessions, authentication, security, checkout, and remembering in-progress story generation status. You can manage cookies through your browser, but some parts of TinyTeller AI may not work correctly without required session cookies.
If you allow analytics storage, we may use PostHog to understand how people move through TinyTeller AI and improve the product, including privacy-masked session replay on non-sensitive pages. If you allow marketing storage, we may use Meta Pixel to measure advertising and support marketing audiences. These optional tools are not loaded unless you give permission, and you can change your choice from the Cookies link in the footer.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep information for as long as needed to provide TinyTeller AI, maintain your account and books, fulfill orders, resolve disputes, protect the service, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations.
Original character source uploads are currently retained for about three days. Generated books, characters, media, order records, checkout records, credits, and support records may be retained longer. Backup copies and logs may persist for a limited time after deletion.
Your Choices And Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete personal information associated with your account by contacting hi@tinytellerai.com. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where we have a legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, fulfillment, or dispute-resolution reason to do so.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know what personal information we collect, delete it, correct it, receive a portable copy, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive information uses, and receive equal treatment when exercising privacy rights.
If you receive marketing emails from us, you can unsubscribe using the link in the email or by contacting us. Transactional emails, such as sign-in links, receipts, order updates, and service notices, may still be sent as needed.
Children
TinyTeller AI is for adults. If we learn that a child has provided personal information directly to us without appropriate parental or guardian consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents and guardians can contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of child-related information connected to their account.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should keep your email account secure and contact us if you believe your TinyTeller AI account or sign-in link has been misused.
International Processing
TinyTeller AI and our providers may process information in the United States, the European Economic Area, and other countries. Privacy laws may differ from those in your location, but we use service providers and safeguards intended to protect information wherever it is processed.
Changes And Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as TinyTeller AI changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as by updating this page, sending email, or showing an in-app notice.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hi@tinytellerai.com.
